Wednesday, September 8th
IFC Meet and Greet at the Student Recreation Center courtyard from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Chapter representatives (10) need to be there by 4:30pm.
Thursday, September 9th
IFC Greek Service Night at the Baker Pattillo Student Center from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Chapter representatives (10) need to be there by 4:30pm.
Friday, September 10th
2 lines at the HPE. All chapters will need to be at the HPE and ready for your first line by 5:00.
Saturday, September 11th
Steps in front of the Austin Building. Chapters must be in front of the Austin Building at 11:45.
Rush violations will be divided into two categories- Major and Minor infractions. The IFC Executive Board will handle all rush infractions and handout all sanctions and punishments.
Major rush infractions as determined by the IFC Executive Board will incur a $500 fine per infraction.
Minor rush infractions as determined by the IFC Executive Board will incur a $250 fine per infraction.
Appeals
Appeals must be made within 72 hours in writing and turned into the Chief Justice. The IFC Executive Board will meet and discuss whether or not the chapter should be granted an appeal. If an appeal is granted, it must be held within 7 days and judged by a Judicial Board. The Judicial Board will be comprised of 8 randomly selected president panelists and the IFC Chief Justice.
Alcohol or any other illegal substance will be strictly prohibited at any chapter recruitment activities during the pre-recruitment process and formal recruitment process.(Chapter recruitment activities are defined as activities in which any potential members are invited, or in which the purpose of the function is to attract potential members to future membership in the organization.)If a chapter or individual is found using alcohol or any other illegal substance, there will be a minimum fine of $1,000 and a minimum of 100 hours of community service fined to the chapter. Specific amount will be determined by the IFC Executive Board.
Minor Rush Infractions
- All flags at Steps have to stay in the back of the crowd.
- No animals or pets at any formal rush events.
- Use of girls as a recruitment tool during the first two days of formal recruitment.
- Any pictures of alcohol on rush related facebook groups.
-All chapters must delegate two members to clean up after lines and steps. They must check out with an IFC officer before leaving.
-Any chapter member getting on the Steps anytime between 11:30 and ten minutes after the event without permission from the IFC Executive Board.
-Not having a bid list turned in on time.
-Changing cut list after turned in.
-Being late to any formal rush event.
Major Rush Infractions
-No use of fireworks or weapons of any kind.
-Fighting at any event - anything involving physical violence or verbal assault.
-Losing 25% of a pledge class before initiation.
-Failure of any chapter to participate in any formal recruitment event without prior approval of the IFC Executive Board.
-Not registering new members with the IFC within 72 hours of ‘Steps’. This fine is per person- i.e. if you ghost rush 5 guys and choose not to notify the IFC in order to avoid the $50 per person "ghost rush" fine, the fine will be $2500 dollars (5 guys x $500 major rush infraction = $2500). NO EXCEPTIONS!
-Women at lines. They can be at your event but not at the HPE for lines.
